Whoowee! Did anyone else rack up some deals on Amazon Prime Day? I didn’t go super crazy, but we did snag a few things, some of which I will be saving for birthday and/or Christmas gifts! Nothing like doing some extra early shopping! Now I just have to remember where I hid them come December…
Since I didn’t get the last Amazon post out until the end of May, I decided I’d just combine months again! That and it’s just easier for me to do it this way…considering the kids are home from school and I don’t have a lot of free time these days!
For those of you who are not familiar with Subscribe and Save, I’ll give you a run down below. If you already know the ins and outs, please feel free to scroll on down!
Amazon’s Subscribe and Save program allows you to set up regularly scheduled deliveries on thousands of different items. There is no commitment, so you can skip or cancel deliveries at any time.
Just for subscribing, Amazon gives you a 5% savings on each and every item. If you have 5 or more items in a given month, then you will save 15% on the TOTAL amount of your bill. Amazon’s prices are often the same or better than Target/Walmart/Costco/etc, and then to save up to an additional 15% AND have it delivered to your doorstep is HEAVEN! If you are a Prime member, you can get a 20% savings on diapers and baby food subscriptions by having 5 items delivered in a given month.
You can choose how often you would like each item (ex: once a month, once every 3 months, etc) and you can cancel any item at any time without any sort of fees. If you subscribe to a certain toothpaste one month, and decide you want a different kind the next month, it’s super easy to cancel your existing subscription and then place a new order for what you want. Not everything is eligible for Subscribe and Save, but they sure do have a lot to choose from! You can shop the S&S Store HERE!
A lot of the items are sold in bulk, so if you don’t want 8 boxes of rice, see if you can find a friend or family member to split it with. But there are also a lot of items that are sold individually too! Amazon’s prices vary quite frequently. So, be sure to check the cost each month before committing to your order. Sometimes just waiting until the following month (if you don’t need the item right away) will save you some money.
Here’s what I ordered the past few months:
Simple Facial Wipes
These are my favorite for removing makeup at the end of the day.
This was a lightening deal on Prime Day, and I missed out on getting it. It intrigued me though because it has amazing reviews and it is very inexpensive. I’m going to give it a shot, so I’ll keep you posted if I like it!
Time to change the water filter! Even if you don’t need this exact filter, chances are Amason has your filter available too!
Chemical free sunscreen
We have been going through the sunscreen like crazy this summer! We like this kind because it is mineral sunscreen (free of the junky chemicals), and easy to rub onto your skin.
I have tried to use wool dryer balls and also those silicone dryer balls, but they just leave my clothes full of static no matter what. I like these Bounce Free and Gentle dryer sheets because they are free of dyes and perfumes. So, while I’m sure they are probably not 100% chemical free, they surely have to be better than the regular dryer sheets, and my clothes aren’t all stuck together in one giant static ball.
Bona Hardwood Floor Polish
This stuff makes my hardwood floors so incredibly shiny! I love it so much because when I take the time to mop my floors, I want them to look damn good afterwards!
We have been getting this kind of sugar for a long time and I am always happy with it. It’s a large quantity, so maybe you could split it with a friend or family member if you don’t think you would use it all. I just store my extra bags in the basement inside a plastic tuppie.
Winter seems like a long way away, but it will be here before we know it! I love these because they are soft and don’t irritate my nose on days it needs to be blown multiple times.
Dang Coconut Chips
Have you guys tried these things? They are SO good! I love them for a sweet treat after a meal!
Organic Brown Rice
Did you know that arsenic has been found in many forms of rice? We don’t buy organic everything, but I do always buy organic rice.
I feel like these are on our list every single month! My boys love these and they are just such an easy snack to throw in my purse when we are on the go.
I put 2 scoops of this collagen in my tea each morning. It dissolves quickly and has zero taste. As we get older, our body stops producing collagen, so I am hoping this supplement helps with current and future ailments! It’s also supposed to be great for your skin, hair, and nails.
We use these for cleaning the house and the cars!
Purina Pro Plan
You know the drill…big dogs eat a lot of food! I’m thankful to have it delivered for cheaper than I can buy it from the pet store!
