I don’t know about you, but after that little taste of warm weather we had, I am so ready for spring to be here pronto! Although, my toes desperately need some TLC before sandal season. I had hoped to get another post out to you guys this week, but things have been a little crazy around here lately! If you follow me on Instagram, you know that we had the beams on our ceiling removed in our kitchen/ breakfast area and I am extremely happy with the results! Our ceilings were very low, and the beams were quite dated, so while I love a good, chunky beam, these were not something I wanted to keep around. We love it so much, we are moving forward with removing the beams in our living room too! So, we get about a week break, then back to living in a construction zone.
Alright friends, here are the things I am getting this month from Amazon’s Subscribe and Save program this month.
Amazon’s Subscribe and Save program allows you to set up regularly scheduled deliveries on thousands of different items. There is no commitment, so you can skip or cancel deliveries at any time.
Just for subscribing, Amazon gives you a 5% savings on each and every item. If you have 5 or more items in a given month, then you will save 15% on the TOTAL amount of your bill. Amazon’s prices are often the same or better than Target/Walmart/Costco/etc, and then to save an additional 15% AND have it delivered to your doorstep is HEAVEN! If you are a Prime member, you can get a 20% savings on diapers and baby food subscriptions by having 5 items delivered in a given month.
You can choose how often you would like each item (ex: once a month, once every 3 months, etc) and you can cancel any item at any time without any sort of fees. If you subscribe to a certain toothpaste one month, and decide you want a different kind the next month, it’s super easy to cancel your existing subscription and then place a new order for what you want. Not everything is eligible for Subscribe and Save, but they sure do have a lot to choose from! You can shop the S&S Store HERE!
A lot of the items are sold in bulk, so if you don’t want 8 boxes of rice, see if you can find a friend or family member to split it with. But there are also a lot of items that are sold individually too! Amazon’s prices vary quite frequently. So, be sure to check the cost each month before committing to your order. Sometimes just waiting until the following month (if you don’t need the item right away) will save you some money.
Here’s what I am ordering this month:
I tried this protein powder last month and I really like it! I can’t do smoothies very often in the winter time because they make me so cold, but now that it’s warming up I have been getting back into the habit. My go to smoothie lately is cashew milk, 1/3 banana, spinach, blueberries, 1 T peanut butter and this protein powder.
If you have any road trips planned for Spring Break, you may want to stock up on some Dramamine! My kiddos have gotten car sick the past few trips we have taken and this stuff has helped them. Another must have for road trips are these barf bags. You may laugh now, but you will thank me when the time comes… If you want more road trip tips, you can check out my post HERE! And, while we’re at it, here are my tips for traveling with toddlers!
I use this lemon rinse about 1-2 times a month to help remove any buildup in my hair from products like dry shampoo, hairspray, texturizing spray, etc. You put it on after you shampoo and condition your hair, let it sit for a little bit, then rinse it clean. It smells super yummy and it’s paraben and sulfate free!
This is my boys’ favorite flavor of fruit pouches. They are a great snack for on the go!
And these are a great snack for me. Easy to throw in my purse. This is also a great item to add to your order if you are trying to hit the minimum 5 items to obtain your full 15% discount!
Getting more of these babies. See, I told you we go through them at an alarming rate!
Don’t forget to stock up on batteries so you can change out your smoke detector batteries during daylight savings!
Razor refills. A couple of bucks cheaper than I can get them at Target and delivered to my doorstep!
I buy a lot of my organic spices from Amazon. I am currently in need of some dried diced onion. I use it a lot in meatloaf or meatballs, but it also comes in handy for other recipes when I’m in a hurry or when I thooooooought I had an onion and turns out I didn’t.
Food Babe recommended this sunscreen, and I have been using it on myself and my boys for a few years. If it’s good enough for her, it’s good enough for me! Non-toxic and rubs in better than some of the other natural sunscreens I’ve tried in the past.
And by now you know I have dog food shipped to me on a monthly basis. We recently switched from the puppy formula to the adult formula and it’s still so much cheaper than going to the store to get it. Plus I don’t have to mess with lugging the heavy bags to my car!
Thanks for tuning into another episode of WHAT I BUY FROM AMAZON!!! Actually, I buy a whole heck of a lot more than this from Amazon, but I don’t know that I am willing to admit my entire purchase history to you quite yet. Or to my husband for that matter 😉 hehe Prime is just tooooooo easy. See ya next time!
