Stocking Stuffer Ideas

December 16, 2017

Sooooo, I have had really good intentions of doing some gift guides for the holidays this year….but, obviously I haven’t done them.  To be honest, I just haven’t made them a priority.  It takes a lot of time to research items, get links, write the post, make the graphic, etc.  And while I enjoy working on them and putting them together, I just haven’t had the necessary time to dedicate to them this year.  So, sorry about that!  #bloggerfail   I’ll link last year’s gift guides, and while some of the links may be outdated, they may still give you some ideas.  I have one boy who is very much into anything STEM related and another boy who is obsessed with tractors and farm stuff.  If you have little girlies, I can’t help out much in that department!  But there is a gift guide for both women and men in the same post.

Stocking Stuffer ideas

Even though I don’t have brand new, updated gift guides for every person on your list, I wanted to share some stocking stuffer ideas because I don’t now about you, but I try really hard to not fill the boys’ stockings with junk.  I try to find things that they will actually use and enjoy.

I get an overwhelming sense of feeling like I am drowning in STUFF this time of year, and while I definitely get them more gifts than they actually need, I make a great effort to be intentional about what I do buy.  Here’s the stocking stuffer gift guides from last year if you want to check them out because there are some great ideas on it!  And, below are a few additional things I have found this year:

We have taken a few trips this year, both in the car and on airplanes, and if it wasn’t for the kindle, I don’t know that my children would still be alive.  Beckham is finally to the age where he can watch a show (or the majority of one) and be entertained for a while.  #givemamaabreak  Anyway, they both complain about their earphones hurting their ears after a while.  These are such a great idea because they look much more comfortable, and they take up less room in your bag!  And, it could also double as a sleep mask…just pull it down over their eyes and hopefully it would help them get some zzzzz’s in a bright car or plane!  There are several different colors/animals to choose from.

Wooden building kits
I have mentioned these before, but my boys just love these!  I like that it’s an activity to put the kit together, and then they can play with it afterwards!  Some of the kits even come with paint.  I have even seen kits like this at Dollar Tree in the past!

Lego tape
This stuff looks really cool, and if you have a kid with a Lego obsession, then I can only imagine what they would be able to do with this stuff!  I ordered some for Chase…I am just going to have to set limitations on where exactly the tape can go =)

Eos lip balm
The kiddos are always stealing my lip balm, so I am hoping that by giving them their own, mine will stay clean and free of teeth marks.

Super hero capes
Anything dress up is always fun…so whether it’s capes or a princess tutu, gifts that inspire imaginative play are always a plus in my book!

Fuzzy socks
Cozy socks are good for hanging around the house!  I found some at Target’s Dollar Spot, or these I linked are from Amazon.

Adjustable measuring teaspoon / tablespoon
If you need a stocking stuffer idea for your mom or sister, I absolutely love my adjustable measuring spoons!  I had some old plastic ones from Pampered Chef that recently broke, so I am ordering these for my own stocking!  That’s what you get to do when you are Santa!

And to round things out, lets do one for the guys, shall we?  These portable chargers are a lifesaver!  If your man is on the phone a lot or has an older phone with a worn out battery, this is a great little gadget to have!

Whelp, that about does it for now.  I know it’s not a ton of stuff, but like I said, I don’t load up on stuff just to have a full stocking.  Hopefully I haven’t given you at least one new idea!  Only 9 days left til Christmas morning!  Better get cracking on those lists if you haven’t already!
