Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I don’t have a single drop of Irish in my blood, but I enjoy any excuse to have a cocktail and some yummy food with friends and family! I hope you have had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend. Today kickstarts Spring Break for us here in Kansas City, so we are spending time with cousins who are here visiting and then we will get to see my brand new nephew next week! I can’t wait to sniff his newborn head! Anyone else have a crazy obsession with sniffing babies? I used to just hold my boys and take long, deep breaths to inhale all of the goodness I possibly could when they were babies. There’s just nothing else like it in the world! Baby smells are my drug.
Anyway, this week I wanted to share some of the accessories I’ve been loving lately.
If you have been living under a rock and haven’t checked out the Sugarfix collection at Target, then you need to get there ASAP! Or at the very least, hop online! Their collab with BaubleBar is spot on. So many cute things to choose from. And, jewelry is currently 20% off at Target right now! Here are some of my faves:
I have been living in this military jacket. It’s a good lightweight jacket to throw on during these crazy days when it’s cool in the morning and then warms up in the afternoon. I initially hesitated getting it because I already had a military style vest that was very similar, but I am so glad I pulled the trigger because I have been wearing it non-stop! It runs super large, so definitely size down. I usually would have ordered a medium, but after reading the reviews, I went with an XS and I’m glad I did. The sleeves are the perfect length and it fits me well in the shoulders. Here and here are other options. PS: Did you spot my Sugarfix choker and ring? 😉
I have had this cross body purse for a while now, and I love it! I don’t use it every day, but I do use it a ton, especially when I take the boys somewhere where I don’t want to have to lug my big mom purse around with me. It holds plenty of stuff, but not too much to become heavy and pull on my shoulder. There are 2 outside pockets that are handy for stashing my phone, and more pockets on the inside. The strap is a little on the long side, so it may be too long for you vertically challenged ladies. I’m 5’6″ and I have it on the shortest loop possible. I don’t think I would want it any longer. My darker grey color is not available right now, but light grey and black are currently available.
Speaking of grey, since I seem to somehow work grey into my life on a daily basis, I snagged this grey polish a few weeks ago and it’s been a constant on my nails ever since. I posted a pic on Instagram of my multi colored nails when I was trying to find the “perfect” shade of grey, and I found it! Sally Hansen Heavy Metal. BTW, I didn’t think it through as I was painting each fingernail a different color because when I got home I realized I had NO idea where my nail polish remover was. Since our bathrooms were under renovation, most of our stuff was packed away in boxes, and I didn’t have the energy to go through them. So, I did what any lazy person would do and picked it all off. Terrible for your nails. Don’t try that at home. (There’s that Sugarfix ring again!)
And lastly, a friend recently gave me some LipSense to try. Have you heard of it before? It’s a lip color that won’t smudge or come off! It stays on all day. I have been wearing Bombshell with Rose gloss. Naturally, I picked Jennifer Aniston’s favorite color…you know…because she and I have so much in common with our amazing abs and multi million dollar bank accounts. (I wish) I tried countless times to take a closeup selfie of my lips, but continued to fail at getting a clear one, so here’s a pics of Jennifer Aniston since we would all rather look at her anyway!
LipSense has every color under the sun and a variety of different glosses, including a matte finish. Contact Kelli if you’re interested in trying it out!
Welp, have a great weekend! If you’re traveling, be safe and have fun!
