Let’s Talk About Small Boobs for a Second

February 28, 2017
Whelp, on the off chance there were any guys that read my blog, I’m pretty sure I just lost them with that title.

I was never what you would call well endowed, but I was always happy with what I did have. My breasts used to be quite full and perky. But after pregnancies and breastfeeding and just plain getting older, the girls have taken a beating. They are looking rather…well…for lack of a better word, deflated. I wish I could go back and tell my younger self to flaunt those babies!  Wear the slutty low cut shirts!  Embrace the push up bras!  Show em off and get more beads at Mardi Gras!  Wait, what?

I know I’m supposed to be proud of my body and it’s super woman powers of being able to grow a human but sometimes I just really want those perky girls back!

Since I’ve come to accept my changed lady lumps, I’ve had a hard time finding a bra I like. I’ve tried on countless bras in various stores from Target to high end lingerie stores and I wasn’t satisfied.  They are either too tight, cups are too big, cups are the wrong shape, straps hurt, Madonna coned boobs, smash what I have down to Kate Hudson status, give me back rolls, etc. Randomly, I was ordering something from Forever 21 and I needed to spend more $ to get free shipping (great marketing scam by the way, but I fall for it every time) so I added a bra to my cart. It was $10, so I figured I didn’t have much to lose if I didn’t like it. Turns out I LOVE it!  Winner winner chicken breast dinner!

This Forever 21 bra does not have an underwire, which surprisingly I love!  After living in nursing bras for so long, and losing a lot of my natural “padding” I now find underwires to be very uncomfortable.  The material is smooth and doesn’t catch on my shirts. The cup shape is nice and round, and the straps are comfortable.

Speaking of Forever 21 bras, I also like to sleep in these bralettes. They are so inexpensive and I like that they have a thin layer of padding. I’ve been known to do more then sleep in them. Like go to the grocery store, workout, take my kiddos to school…  They don’t lend a ton of support but I don’t need much so I can get away with sporting them 24/7 if I have to.  Forever 21 should totally be paying me for all of this good press!  Maybe one day….  ha

So, I wanted to share my incredible (can you feel the excitement?) finds for any other fellow deflated booby mamas out there. And selfishly, I’d also like to know what your favorite bras are?  At one point I felt like I had tried on everything out there and it was very discouraging, so I’d love to know what works for you!
