Sometimes it’s fun to think outside the box! I love those traditional fall colors…the warm red, orange and yellow hues. But for some reason, this year, I was drawn to teal and white! I think it started when I saw a miniature ceramic pumpkin in the Target Dollar Spot. It just spoke to me, and I decided to run with it! Target has a way of doing that, you know?
Because I decorated quite a bit for Halloween, I wanted to take a brief break before Christmas decorations start to explode all over my house. We also aren’t going to be celebrating Thanksgiving at our home this year, so I usually keep it simple when I don’t have to host.
I saw this leopard coir doormat at Hobby Lobby one day, and snatched it up! I love leopard anything lately, so this was a no-brainer. And y’all know my obsession with layering rugs, so naturally, I wanted to find a rug to go underneath it, I ended up finding this one at Walmart and it was the perfect size and color!
Some blue burlap ribbon paired with leopard ribbon (also from Hobby Lobby), several pumpkins from our various trips to the local patches, and of course my DIY leopard duct tape pumpkin were the perfect accessories to complete my non-traditional fall porch! If you missed my Instagram stories about the pumpkin, I just covered a faux pumpkin with leopard print duct tape! And that adorable sign is custom made by my neighbor!
And this wreath was one that I have had for years. I added some greenery and a few little pumpkins to tie it into the fall theme.
So tell me, how did you decorate for fall this year? Traditional, or did you feel like changing it up? You can shop the post below.
