JCPenny Try on

January 29, 2019
Hey chicas!  I have taken a little break from shopping and buying.  Kind of an unofficial, unplanned break, but I was just worn out and over it by the time Christmas rolled around!  Anyone feel that way?  But, now the stores have refreshed their inventory, and I am also feeling refreshed!  I stopped in JC Penny the other day to make a return, and I was surprised by so many cute things out on their racks!  Naturally, I decided to do an impromptu try on sesh for ya!
The links in this post are affiliate links, which means if you purchase something through my blog, I will make a small commission.  I can’t thank you enough for supporting me by shopping through my links!  I never want anyone to feel like I’m trying to sell them on buying something, but IF you see something you like, I’d love you forever if you would use my links!  JCPenny offers free shipping on orders over $99, or you can always buy online and pickup in the store for free!
Currently, if you use code 64SHOP, you can take 40% off a purchase of $40 or more, OR 60% off a purchase of $100!

I thought I’d start out with some Valentine’s Day inspired tops!  This cute light pink and navy heart pullover is SO soft!  It has pockets and fit true to size.  I am wearing a small.
The distressed jeans are also from JCPenny.  They run a bit small, so if you’re in between sizes, I would go up.  I loved how they fit and the distressing is just how I like it!  They have a raw hem and for reference, I am 5’6″.  I really like these jeans!  And get this…they are currently under $30!

The balloon sleeves on this top are so cute!  I like how they have elastic at the wrists so they won’t get in your way when you’re eating chips and queso!  I am wearing a small.
These white jeans weren’t my fave.  I’ll link them for you, but they didn’t fit my body well.  I thought they were tight in the waist and baggy in the lower stomach area.  I only brought two pairs of jeans into the dressing room, so you’ll see them a lot in this try on.

IN LOVE with this furry pink fleece!  They only had an XS in the store, so this is too small on me, but I think a small or medium would have been great.  So fun for Valentine’s Day or any other day!  The white one is also gorgeous!

I have major heart eyes for  this sweater!  Something about the pink popping brightly against the black just sucked me in and said BUY ME!  I got a medium in this one because it’s junior sizing…so keep that in mind.

This romantic top is SO pretty and you can wear this all the way through summer!  Layer it now under a Moto jacket or a cardigan, then wear it solo when the weather warms up…IF the weather ever warms up!  I am wearing a small.
Ignore the black bralette.  If you have been following me for longer than a minute, you know I somehow end up doing try ons every single time I am wearing a black bra.  I should just carry a nude bra in my purse!  ha!
This floral cowl neck top is so sweet,  I liked that the length was a little bit longer, so it covers most of the bum.  I thought the colors were so pretty and could be festive for Valentine’s Day without being in your face red and pink.  I am wearing a medium.
Moving on to comfy, casual attire!  I love these tie dye sweatshirts!  They are so soft and come in a couple of different color options.  I sized up to a medium for more room.

Same tie dye sweatshirt as above, but in the blue option.  There is also an olive green/grey color combo.

This button sleeve dolman shirt is super cute and very lightweight,  It ran pretty big.  I am wearing an x-small and it is still plenty roomy, so definitely size down.  It is longer in the back and covers the booty and also comes in several different color choices.  Online the color is more of a baby blue, but it’s definitely a pretty aqua color in real life.

You can’t beat a classic henley!  Such a great layering piece, or wear it alone!  (Ignore the bralette again!). I am wearing a small.  These have a more snug fit, so if you want it to fit more loosely, size up.  Lots of color choices.

Is it sad that this was my favorite combo I tried on?  These leggings are soft as buttah!  They are pretty thin, so probably not best for super chilly days, but for the price, you can’t beat them!  I am wearing a medium.  They are junior sizing, but super stretchy, so stick with your normal size.  They come in a bazillion patterns and colors AND plus sizes too!
And, I own this sweatshirt pullover in 2 colors already.  It is long enough to wear with leggings has pockets and a hood, and is super soft and cozy!  I also love that it has rose gold hardware.  It runs big, so size down.  I am wearing a small.

JCPenny hopped on the tie-front henley train!  These comfy waffle knit shirts are so cute and forgiving!  Lots of color options!  They run big/this is a size small.

And, if you aren’t into the v-neck or the buttons, this waffle knit shirt still has all of the slouchy, oversized benefits, including the tie!  I am wearing a small.
These cardigans are perfect for layering.  I love this blue color, which is called faded denim, but they also come in a slate gray.  They have pockets and fit tts,  I am wearing a medium.  If between sizes, I would go up.

They didn’t have these cuties in my size, but I wanted to share them because I love the embroidery detail!  They were the same style of jean as the distressed pair I tried on, so based on that, I would recommend going up a size if you are between sizes.  They also come in a camo print too, although I couldn’t find those online.
And that’s all for now!  I hope you found something cute to brighten up this dreary winter we are having!  Have a great day friends!  You can shop all of the looks below:
