JC Penny Finds

November 3, 2017

Hey there friends!  Are you ready for the weekend?  Whoop whoop!  I had to run into JC Penny the other day, and had a few extra minutes to browse around.  I wanted to share a few things that caught my eye because the holidays are coming up, so you know what that means….parties, get togethers, and lots reasons to look cute!  Annnnnnd, if you use code SHOPNOW4, you will save an additional 25% off the sale prices!  If you spend over $100, you will get free shipping and save 30%!  This sale ends Nov 5.

I didn’t have a lot of time to try on a bunch of things, but I’ll post pics of the items I did try on and then I will also link some of the other things that I thought were super cute!  So, be sure to scroll down to the bottom where you can shop the widget by scrolling to the right or left to see the items I have picked out.

Ok, I don’t know what this material is, but it is SO SOFT!  There were several different items made of the same stuff, and they were all calling my name!

I thought this striped top with the tie sleeves was cute, and then I put it on and OH MY GOSH!  It was like wearing a blanket.  The ties might be annoying and get in the way if you are trying to clean or cook…but this shirt was super cute and super comfy!  I am wearing a small.  It comes in several colors, but this one and the pink stripe one were my faves.  This dress and this bell sleeve shirt are also made of the same softy goodness!  I don’t wear dresses often, but it was adorable on the hanger, so I imagine it’s even cuter on!  With some tall boots or even with booties, it would be a great fall staple.

Speaking of soft shirts, this one was also extremely soft.  It was lightweight, but not see through. It was also pretty oversized, so take that into consideration depending on how you want it to fit.  It looks long on the model, but I tried on a small and I was thinking an x-small would have given me more of a shirt fit.  However, you could get your regular size and it would be more of a tunic fit which is great to wear with leggings!  I like shirts like this because it’s a two for one.  You can wear it off the shoulder, or pulled up like a cowl.  This would be extremely easy to dress up some nice pants, heels, and jewelry.  Or, on the flip side, it would also look amazing with jeans and boots!

I have been impressed with how the ol’ sweatshirt has been fancied up lately!  Gone are the plain Jane sweats.  This was a super cute one with embroidery and poofy sleeves.  I like that it has elastic around the wrist, so for those of you who can’t stand bell sleeves, this would be a good alternative.  The embroidery detail is so pretty on the shoulder of one sleeve and then down the arm of the other.  It also comes in gray.  I’m wearing a small.

This marled grey cardigan is really cute.  It is pretty lightweight, so if you aren looking for a super warm cardigan, this is not your guy.  However, I like lightweight cardigans for layering because then I don’t sweat to death.  It has pockets, which you know I love in a cardi, and it is a great length.  I am wearing a small, and it comes in several other colors.

So, that’s all I had time to try on, but there were so many adorable things I walked past on my way to the dressing room, so I linked several of them here.  Just to highlight a few…the velvet bomber was gorgeous and looks a whole lot more expensive than it is.   I also loved the velvet cold shoulder top.  That would be a good option for a holiday party.  There were several different ruffle sleeve tops, and some came in plus sizes!  I love the red color, especially for the holidays.  And, the short sleeve ruffle top with the pearls was very different!  It caught my eye as I was leaving the store, but I wished I could have tried it on.  Everything I have rounded up is extremely inexpensive, so hopefully this helps you get more bang for your buck this holiday party season!  Don’t forget to use code SHOPNOW4 for an additional 25% off (or 30% off orders over $100).

For sizing, I am usually a 6 in tops, or a small/medium.  I would say most of the items I tried on were true to size, but if you are between sizes, I would recommend sizing down.
