H&M Try On

November 20, 2018
Can you even believe it’s Thanksgiving week?!?!  It definitely crept up on me.  I am excited to have family in town and indulge in all of the yummies.

I love H&M!  I don’t shop there often, mainly because the store isn’t super convenient for me, but I can always find something fun when I do get to browse!  Sometimes H&M sizing is strange…I will need an XS in one thing and then an XL in something else, so I always appreciate sizing advice when I can find it.  And with all of the Black Friday sales coming up, I am sure H&M will be no exception!  I don’t know what they have up their sleeve, but I bet it will be good!  Their prices are always so great to start with, so an added discount is a total win!  Right now you can get free shipping with code 3233.

The lighting in my HM store is always terrible.  I did the best I could with pics, but if you’re unsure of anything, click the link and check it out online.
I’ll start with what I wore into the store.  cami / jeans / cardigan / hat  In hindsight, I probably should not have worn red jeans, but actually, they looked pretty cute with most of the things I tried on!  I was in a huge hurry, so I didn’t try on any pants this time.

The trend this year is definitely oversized, cropped sweaters.   Honestly, I don’t know how I feel about these.  I think they are all very cute on other people, but I don’t like my belly sticking out, even a little bit.  I would recommend pairing these types of tops with high waisted jeans if you are like me and prefer to keep your midsection under wraps.  Otherwise, flaunt those abs baby!

I love the mustard color of this cozy sweater!  But wouldn’t you know it, this color is not available online right now!  They had a lot of mustard things in the store, but I didn’t see much of this color on their website.  Go figure.  I loved the chunkiness of this sweater.  It was very cozy and the turtleneck was not restricting.  I am wearing a medium.  The colors available online are grey, blush pink, and a muted turquoise.

LOVING this color!  Maybe not with these pants, but this vibrant red/orange is so pretty!  It’s the same, mock neck, oversized, cropped sweater look, but a little less dramatic than the mustard sweater above.  I am wearing a small.
If you want to add some length to your cropped sweaters, layer them over a striped tee, or a plaid button down shirt, or even chambray…and have the shirt peek out the bottom!
This faux fur coat was amazing, but it was huge!  I am wearing a small, and I wish they had an XS in store so I could compare it.  But, this swallowed  me whole.  I loved the bell sleeves and the faux fur was super soft, but definitely size down, probably even twice.
This sweater was lightweight and I loved how it came down longer in the back.  It would be cute layered over a button up shirt!  It comes in several different colors, and I am wearing a small.
Off the shoulder sweaters are also very on trend this season.  This one is only $14.99!  And, that’s not even on sale.  The only bad thing is that I couldn’t find it online.  So, you’ll have to head to the store if you want to snag this cutie.  I’m wearing a small.
Another off the shoulder option here.  This sweater was a little bit lighter, not quite as bulky as the pink one, and had a smaller fold around the chest.  It runs large though, so definitely size down in this one.  I am wearing an XS.
How pretty is this dark floral top?   Loved this so much, and it actually looks really cute with my red jeans!  It would be precious layered under any of these sweaters.  The material is a really nice quality, and not too thin.  It was soft, and would be great for the workplace!  I am wearing a size 6.
This striped top is the exact same as the floral, but I am wearing a size 4.  Honestly, either size would work.  If you have a larger chest, you may want to go with a bigger size, but they both fit me great.  This same shirt comes in TONS of solid colors and a few other stripe and floral patterns too!  Such a versatile piece!
Another mustard sweater option is this oversized one.  And guess what?  This one isn’t available in this color online either!  I mean, do they have something against selling mustard sweaters on their website?  The material on this one was a little more stiff, but the length was more my style.  The turtleneck was not too tight, and I like how it folded over.  They only had a medium in store, but I would probably size down to a small.
This lace top is so pretty!  I like how you can see the skin on my arms, and the sleeve detail is gorgeous in person!  I am wearing a size 4.  I would recommend sizing down.
And, speaking of lace, this dress was so pretty!  Don’t mind the jeans and boots with it…I was in a huge hurry so I didn’t have time to take them off!  This is a size small and it fit me like a glove.  It would be perfect for a holiday party and it’s currently on sale for $27.99!  It also comes in navy, burgundy, and blush pink.
And if you prefer long sleeves, this long sleeved lace dress is equally as beautiful!
I am also loving these festive sweaters!
These lace trimmed cami’s are so pretty and come in several color/print options.
This leopard blouse is pretty!
Adorable fur-ball beanies in several colors!
This pajama set is perfect to keep you cozy this holiday

That’s a wrap!  There were so many other things I saw as I was rushing to the dressing room, so maybe I’ll get back there again soon.  Right now you can get free shipping at H&M with code 3233.
