Hey there friends! I have jumped on the Faster Way to Fat Loss train and I am LOVING it! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s a healthy lifestyle plan that incorporates intermittent fasting, carb cycling and macro tracking. I had been stalking people on social media who were following this plan and was shocked by their before and after pictures. After months of dragging my feet, I finally decided to commit. And boy am I happy I did! After just 3 weeks, I feel amazing, have no more bloating, and my shorts are fitting looser!
The Faster Way really encourages you to stay off the scale. But, I cheated. Oops. I mean, it’s so hard to stay off the scale! My coach, Ingrid, is going to get onto me for this, but I am so happy about the result, I really want to share it with you. So, do you want to know how much weight I’ve lost in 3 weeks? 10 pounds! Y’all, I can’t even believe it. And more than the number on the scale, I FEEL so good. I have more energy, don’t feel deprived, and I get to eat meals with my family instead of cooking separate meals for myself.
I’ve received several questions regarding the Faster Way to Fat Loss, so I am going to try and cover them here. If you have any other questions, feel free to leave a comment below!
This means you fast (don’t eat) for a longer period of time, most people choose to do a 16 hour fast. You would stop eating at 8:00pm, and then not eat again until 12:00pm the following day. Basically you are skipping breakfast. This wasn’t difficult for me. Over the past year, I gradually stopped eating breakfast most days and just drank my chai tea in the morning. But, to keep my body in the fasted state, I had to give that up as well. So, all of you coffee drinkers, you can still have your coffee as long as the creamer or whatever you add into it doesn’t exceed 50 calories. Anything over that will cause you to break your fast. I drink herbal tea in the morning if I’m craving something, otherwise, I just drink water. and I’ll periodically treat myself to a chai tea in the afternoon as long as I can work it into my macros for the day.
The benefits of intermittent fasting are allowing your body time to fully digest the food it has been given and also allowing it time to rest in-between meals. Fasting has so many health benefits that I was not previously aware of!
I have tried Whole 30 (twice), and Keto, along with a variety of other diets. With Whole 30, I felt like I unintentionally binged on carbs because they don’t really set limits on how much you can eat, just that you have to eat whole foods. So, I found myself eating a crap ton of sweet potatoes and dried fruit and nut butters. When I didn’t see great results at the end of the month, I went back to my old way of eating because it was extremely hard to stay on track while the rest of my family was eating completely different meals. Keto is on the other end of the carb spectrum, limiting carbs every single day. With Keto, I noticed quick success in the first 10 days, and then gradually started to gain weight again, even though I was still being very restrictive of my carb intake.
The Faster Way to Fat Loss incorporates carb cycling, where they have a couple of low carb days mixed in with regular macro days and also low macro days. This helps your body get the carbs it needs, while also keeping track of the quantity of food you are consuming. When you combine their eating schedule with the recommended workouts, you are training your body to become a pro fat burner because you eat carbs on days you work bigger muscle groups and you eat more fats and protein on days you are doing high intensity workouts. The science behind it is truly fascinating.
I had no idea what a macro even was before I started Faster Way to Fat Loss. I was pretty intimidated at first, and worried I wasn’t going to understand. But, the amazing thing about this program is that they take lots of time to explain everything to you. They walk you through the way you need to set things up to ensure you are successful and they tell you the reasons behind their recommendations!
The Faster Way program also incorporates exercises, which they provide for you each day. They give you both gym and at home workouts. I have been doing a fairly good job of exercising. I haven’t been perfect, but I’d say I get the workouts complete about 70% of the time. If you want to start the program, but don’t want to exercise, that is fine too. The key component of this program is nutrition. Or, if you have a current workout routine that you love, feel free to continue doing that and just add in the nutrition piece of The Faster Way.
One of my favorite things about Faster Way is the flexibility. I committed to do this and then realized I would be right in the middle of it during a family trip to Florida, and also a blogging convention. It was still very easy to manage while being away from home, and I was able to have a treat here and there (hello Pina colada!). I mentioned earlier about my chai tea obsession. I have stopped drinking them in the mornings, but if I am craving one, I will have it in the afternoon and just work it into my macros for the day. If I go out to eat, it’s not overwhelming trying to decide what I can eat off the menu. Sometimes, I will even look at the menu ahead of time and plug it all into the My Fitness Pal app to see where my macros end up for the day, and this allows me to fill in the gaps or cut back on something if I need to.
There are lots of coaches out there promoting this program, but I can only endorse one…Ingrid Jackovitch. She has been AMAZING! She is the kindest, most supportive person, checking in daily, giving recipe suggestions, reminding me to drink water (I’m terrible at that). If you are thinking about doing the Faster Way, you HAVE to do it with Ingrid!

To be honest, I wasn’t looking forward to starting it. I signed up, and then a few weeks went by…and when it came time to begin, I was dreading it. I was at a place in my life where I was eating crap, drinking too many cocktails, and not working out. I wanted to change, but didn’t have the motivation to do anything about it. Signing up for this program was the best decision. Accountability is KEY! Knowing that Ingrid and the rest of my group were going to be checking in on me and they would see if I’ve been doing what I am supposed to do was a big motivator. I didn’t want to let them down. And now, I don’t want to let myself down! I am so excited to see where the next 3 weeks (and beyond) take me!
