Ok guys, this is it! I am ready to show you my results after committing to the Faster Way to Fat Loss program for 6 weeks.
I mentioned in my previous FWTFL post that I wasn’t looking forward to starting this program. I was lazy with my eating habits and also with my exercising. I wasn’t motivated to change either. But, Ingrid (my coach) reached out and I was intrigued. I drug my heels, but I went ahead and signed up and Y’ALL… I am SO glad I did!
Faster Way to Fat Loss combines intermittent fasting, carb cycling, macro tracking, and strategically paired workouts. If you are thinking whoa, hold on…that is way over my head, don’t worry. The beauty of this program is that they fully explain each and every aspect so that you are comfortable. I explain more about each of these elements in my first post.
Let’s back up for a minute though, to tell you about my personal journey. In 2017/2018 I was going to Pure Barre religiously, about 4-5 times per week. I’d wake up at 5am to ensure my workout was complete before the kids woke up. I really enjoyed it, but I ended up having some pretty severe pain in my tailbone. This was nothing new for me, but the level of pain was more than I had previously experienced. I decided to take a short break from Pure Barre, mainly to get some stuff around the house accomplished. I used the time I normally spent working out to paint the trim in our house, organize drawers, clean, etc. Just when I was about to sign up for a summer session, I noticed my tailbone wasn’t hurting as much. I was curious if it was because I had not been going to Pure Barre. So, I decided to take the summer off and just sleep in and enjoy the days with my boys. I did start a workout program that I did from home, but I ended up hurting my hip and knee, so I used that as an excuse to not workout for a little while. And a little while turned into a year. Crazy how that happens. You blink and before you know it, everything you worked so hard to achieve is all mushy and flabby.
I think working out and eating well go hand in hand. At least for me, when I am in a routine of working out pretty consistently, I generally make better choices with what I put into my mouth. And on the flip side, when I am not working out, I tend to just throw in the towel and load up on whatever is easy and convenient. Over the past year, that’s exactly what happened. I stopped working out, and started eating whatever I wanted. I’m not going to lie…it was good! But, I wasn’t happy. I enjoyed that 2nd piece of cake when it was in my mouth, but then I felt terrible afterwards. It’s never a good feeling when your pants are too tight.
Enter FWTFL. I was a little nervous to start this program considering I was used to a pretty lax lifestyle. But, I was also excited to change. I wanted to change, and I needed someone to tell me how to do it and hold my hand along the way. That’s one of the things I LOVE about the program is the support and accountability! My coach, Ingrid, was AMAZING! She checked in daily and held me accountable, but was also extremely supportive on days that I wasn’t perfect with my eating. Knowing I had to share my macros with her each day helped keep me on track. It’s easy to lie to yourself, but when you know someone else is rooting for you, it’s so motivating!
Ok, so are you ready for the before and after pics? That’s why you’re really here isn’t it? I don’t blame you! I can go on all day about what a great program this is, but the photos don’t lie! You can see for yourself what a difference 6 weeks can make!
This is scary for me…posting pictures of myself in a bathing suit, letting my gut hang out and not using a filter. While I am not perfect, I am very happy with the progress I have made! I knew I was feeling better and that I had lost weight, but seeing these photos next to each other is extremely motivating to continue this lifestyle. In fact, the founder of FWTFL stresses progress over perfection, and I love that! I’m not trying to be perfect, I am just trying to better myself.
For the first set of pictures, I relaxed all of my muscles to show a true representation of my body. But, I also wanted to show you the before and after of me flexing my abs. Y’ALL, I actually have ABS! And I didn’t have to starve myself or workout to death to get them!
I still have some fat I’d like to lose, and I want to tone up. But seeing the progress in just 6 weeks makes me wonder what will my “after” photo look like in 12 weeks, or 6 months, or 1 year? In just 6 weeks I lost a total of 13 pounds and 11.25 inches!!!
I was never hungry on this program. I have tried countless other diets and some were so restricting, leaving me feeling deprived and hangry. As long as you are eating the right foods, you will not go hungry! In fact, I had a hard time eating the amount of food they recommended! Sometimes I was SO full, but still had more I was supposed to consume! This just proves that you don’t have to starve yourself to get great results! They actually encourage you to have a treat of some sort on Saturdays. I love this because it really takes away the feeling of certain foods being “off limits”. The fact that you CAN have a piece of pizza, or a donut, or a piece of cake is so liberating. Honestly, I probably only had a treat 3 out of the 6 weeks. Because they weren’t forbidden, I didn’t find myself craving them!
One of my favorite treats was wine! I get asked a lot if you can drink alcohol on this program. The answer is yes. But sparingly. You have to count the calories in your macros, so some days I didn’t have enough macros to spare for a glass of wine. And that was fine. I was more or less in a habit of drinking a glass while making dinner, then another glass with dinner, and possibly a third glass on the weekend while watching a movie. They add up. Now, on a regular macro day, I might have one glass, two max. Alcohol also slows down the body’s ability to burn fat. Knowing that, I wasn’t craving wine nearly as much because I didn’t want it to counteract all of my hard work!
The Faster Way to Fat Loss strategically pairs certain types of workouts with the days that you will have the most fuel to do them. They provide workouts for beginner, at home, and the gym. For not having worked out in a year, I had no problem doing the at home workouts. The program has your body working smarter, not harder. And if you want to just focus on the nutrition aspect of the program, that’s totally fine too! Tons of people see great results without incorporating the workouts, so don’t feel like you have to do them.
I hope that this helped answer any questions you may have had about Faster Way to Fat Loss. As you can tell, I LOVED this program! Ingrid’s next session starts SEPTEMBER 9. If you have been sitting on the sidelines, tempted to try it, but nervous to pull the trigger, I’m telling you JUST DO IT! My only regret is not doing it sooner. There’s never a “perfect” time, so you just have to go for it!
The program costs $199 for the entire round. They have changed the program slightly, so it’s now 8 weeks instead of 6. They made this change to allow more time to educate you about the different aspects of the program and gradually introduce a new one each week. They want to make sure you fully understand so you can be successful and continue to implement this as a new lifestyle. Also, this next round will include a meal plan! This is HUGE! Trying to figure out what to eat was probably my biggest hurdle with the program. Now that they are giving you a meal plan, it will be so easy to incorporate into your lifestyle! You get these bonuses at no additional cost!
I know that $199 is a lot of money. If you break it down over the 8 weeks, it comes to $25 per week. In all honesty, I was drinking $25 a week in wine before starting FWTFL! Or if you are a Starbucks lover, I’m sure you are spending that on coffee! Find a way to make it happen because you will not regret it! This has BY FAR been the best, most effective program I have ever tried!
Another great thing is if you and your husband want to do it together, you can sign your spouse up for only $99! The men’s dietary recommendations are different then women’s, and the workouts are tailored towards them as well, so it’s definitely worth it to get the men’s program if he’s going to do it with you.
I do receive a small commission if you use my referral link to sign up. So, if this post has been helpful, I would greatly appreciate it if you would use my link! I can’t wait to see your success stories!
