When I was in high school, Abercrombie and Fitch was THE place to shop. I used to love going in there, browsing around (most of their clothing was too expensive for my minimum wage budget), and walking out of there smelling like I had taken a bath in men’s cologne. The jumbo black and white billboard photos of male models plastered on the walls were always fun to admire, and on the off chance I actually did buy something on sale, I felt to proud to walk around showing off my A&F bag to the rest of the mall-goers.
Abercrombie had (and still has) somewhat of a tomboyish look to their women’s line, which is probably why it appealed to me in high school. As a girl who used to borrow clothes from her brother, I appreciated clothing with a masculine flare. Are you wondering why you are taking fashion advice from me? You probably shouldn’t. I have no idea what I’m talking about! I’m sure it will delight you to know that I no longer borrow my brother’s shirts, and I have become a little more girlie in the pieces I choose, but I still appreciate classics that aren’t too frilly.
I haven’t shopped at Abercrombie in probably 20 years, but I’ve been hearing a lot of hype about how they have revamped their style and image as a brand. I was curious, so I hopped on their site recently and I was pleasantly surprised. I purchased a few items and I love all of them! I wanted to share, so here ya go!
This plaid mix button up shirt has a great feel to it. It will be a good transition piece as we head into spring because I can wear it with jeans now, and with shorts or cropped pants in the spring. It’s also on sale, currently $23! Jeans here and booties here (ON SALE!). I am wearing the brindle color.
This hooded sweatshirt is so soft and cozy, and will be another perfect transition piece. Great to throw on for those cooler spring mornings. It also comes in olive. I love the snap details up both sides. And these olive military pants are comfy and fit true to size. I have already worn them 3 times this week, if that tells you anything! booties here
I love, love, love this cozy cold shoulder sweater! It’s the first cold shoulder item I have purchased, and I’m glad I took the plunge. I wasn’t sure I was into this trend, but this sweater is very soft and comfy and the shoulder detail makes it feel a little more fancy then just a standard sweater. Currently $22! Olive military pants here.
I hope you all have had a chance to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather because I think we are headed back into winter! Have a great weekend!
