Easter Tablescape

April 3, 2020

Easter is quickly approaching, and even though we are all stuck inside our own homes thanks to #COVID19, and won’t be getting together with anyone for Easter (unless it’s in groups of 10 or under), I still wanted to make our home feel festive. Beckham said Easter is his second favorite holiday behind Christmas, and he basically begged me to decorate…so considering we are here all day, every day I figured why not make it pretty to look at!

I had purchased a few things at Dollar Tree prior to being quarantined, and then I combined those items with whatever I already had to create an Easter tablescape.

These pots, the moss, and the moss covered stones are all from Dollar Tree. I will link similar items from Amazon though so you can shop without leaving your home. Links are at the end of this post.

I wanted a slightly rustic look for my pots, so I used a dry paintbrush to lightly cover them, leaving streaks of pot showing through. To take up some of the space in the pots, crumple newspaper and shove it down inside the pot, then place your moss on top.

These small eggs are from Hobby Lobby (linking similar eggs), but they weren’t staying put in my pots, so I snapped toothpicks in half and used them as stakes to hold the eggs in position.

I use this burlap table runner for all sorts of different occasions! It is so neutral and is the perfect backdrop for pretty much any tablescape. Over the burlap, the greenery I used for Christmas provides some color and makes it feel like spring grass. Funny how the same greenery can work for both winter and spring! It’s all in the accessories!

I had purchased this mossy bunny from Homegoods last year, so I decided to prop him up on a cake stand in the center. I spaced the pots and eggs out along the table and added a few colorful eggs and ceramic bunnies I had from last year.

And across the room….

For my kitchen table, the table where we eat (and now where we do school work), I wanted to keep things simple. I filled this old wooden dough bowl with greenery I had in my stash plus a few extra sprigs I had previously picked up from Hobby Lobby.

I love mixing greenery because it adds so much texture and various shades of green. Some blue berries and dainty white flowers help break up the green.

I topped it all off with these gold foiled eggs, which were actually strung together as a garland. I separated them and placed them throughout the bowl for extra color and Easter fun!

The napkin rings were a Target Dollar Spot find from last year, but you could easily do this simple bunny ear napkin fold with any napkin rings!

I love that this centerpiece still makes a statement, but I can easily pick it up and move it if I need to.

What are your plans for Easter? Do you decorate? Tag me on Instagram or Facebook with your Easter decor…I’d love to see it!
