This is a quick and easy Halloween DIY project that is fun to create for yourself or it also makes a fun hostess gift! I used old wine bottles for mine, but you could easily put these Halloween labels over an existing wine label and be done with it. Maybe the easiest DIY in history! And if you aren’t into DIY, don’t worry, I found a kit that comes with bottles and labels all ready to go!
Because I was using old wine bottles, I opted to spray paint them black. You know, just to give it more of a Halloween vibe. And also because one bottle was green, one was clear, and one was unopened, aka full wine…so I wanted them to coordinate.
To remove your existing labels, soak the bottles in warm, soapy water and they should slide right off. If any residue remains, Goo Gone works wonders!
After searching for lables on Etsy, I decided on these! This set gives you several different options to choose from and I liked that they came in various shapes.
I printed them onto these large sticky labels, cut them out, and stuck them on. Pretty easy, huh? To take it one step further, I decided to wrap the neck of the empty bottles with some twine. I secured the end of the twine at the back of the bottle with hot glue. Add a cork (if you want), and you’re all set!
I love how they look on my bar cart (which happens to be on sale right now)!
And if you’re not into DIY or you just don’t have the time, you could always get a kit like this one, which comes with the black bottles and labels all ready to go!
