Bring the Med Spa Home

At home DIY med spa device self care hair removal micro current manicure gel derma plane

Hey! How goes it? I can’t even believe we are in September now. It seemed like the never ending summer, but now that it’s over, I am already missing it! Hard to believe, I know.

Today I wanted to share some things I have been doing at home that I used to farm out to the med spa. First of all, it’s so much more cost effective to do them yourself! Secondly, it saves so much time not having to schedule an appointment and drive there. You can do them at 10pm after the kids are in bed!

Here’s a video explaining my top 5 at home procedures and I will include the links below.

Permanent hair removal device. This particular one was gifted to me, and it’s been working great! There are so many out there right now and you can purchase the device for less than the cost of one treatment at the med spa! It’s not painless, but you can use ice to numb the area or invest in some numbing cream.

At home derma-planing. These little razors are so inexpensive and produce the same results you would get for a $40 or $50 derma plane treatment at the spa! Shaving your face not only gets rid of all the peach fuzz, but it also is a great way to exfoliate and remove the dead skin cells that clog pores and settle into fine lines.

Neulash Lash Enhancing Serum. I am obsessed with this stuff! It takes a while to see results because hair grows slowly, but this serum prevents your lashes from shedding as often, so they will grow longer and become fuller over time! It’s a tad pricey, but comparable to others and once in a blue moon you can score a deal (check on Black Friday). I’ve been using the same tube for probably about 6 months, and it still has product in it, so the stuff lasts forever!

Nuovaluce Microcurrent device. I was gifted this anti-aging device and I have been using it almost daily for the past 2 months. It has become part of my routine and I love that I can do it while I watch TV in the evenings! Microcurrent is great for producing collagen and lifting sagging skin. The Nuovoluce also comes with a red light therapy interchangeable head. The red light therapy targets pigment discoloration, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles! It’s a great combination all in one product.

Gel Manicure Light and Polish. Gel polish is far superior to regular nail polish because it lasts so much longer and maintains it’s shiny appearance! You can get a curing light for the cost of one manicure and do them yourself at home! The light cures quickly, so you can paint your nails and be out the door in less time because there’s no more waiting for the polish to dry and then worrying about smudging them! I use this polish remover when it’s time to repaint!

I hope this was helpful! If you have a favorite at home device you’ve been loving, drop it in the comments below!
