Old Navy Try Ons

I had a chance to run into Old Navy and boy did they have a lot of cute things out on display!  Sometimes I get a little bit overwhelmed in that store because they have SO much stuff.  I also had a little helper with me, so I quickly scanned the store for the absolute best stuff!  No time for random shopping when you have little ones in tow.

Lets start with one of my favorite things!  I absolutely loved this ruffle sleeve sweatshirt!  It was pretty cute on the hanger, but so much more precious when I put it on!  I just love everything about it...the stripes, the blousy sleeves, and of course the ruffle!  I am wearing a small.  It also comes in navy and white stripe, and solid white, charcoal, and mauve.  Plus sizes available in some of the colors.

These jeans are my faves and I pretty much lived in them last year.  I got my regular size and they fit great.  They do stretch out a bit though, so if you are between sizes and prefer a more snug fit, then size down.

This tank is so soft and flattering!  I love this line of clothing from Old Navy because it is so silky feeling and washes well without shrinking or getting pilled.  They run large, so I always get a small in them.

The cardigan was very soft and I loved the way it scalloped on the sides.  No pockets, but it would be a great layering piece for any season.  I am wearing a medium.  Also available in plus sizes!

Ok, let's just talk about the SOFTEST things in the whole store!  These babies were ah-mazing!  This lounge set has a short or long pant option, and I think it is just divine.  I mean, I wish you could feel them through the screen because, oh baby!  I am wearing a small in the jacket, and a medium in the shorts and pants.  They also come in maternity!  I wish I had this set when I was pregnant!  I would have lived in it every single day.

This is the same tank as the yellow one above, but with a higher neckline and this is an XS.  As you can see, there is still plenty of room, so this just proves that these babies run a tad on the large side.  I preferred the fit of the small because it gave me some extra length, but I could easily get away with the XS if need be.  Just a little info for you incase they don't have your size...
And, these camo pants were so stinking cute!  They are the beloved Rockstars, and fit true to size.  They have a raw hem, were mid-rise, and were extremely comfortable!  Highly recommend these if you have been searching for some inexpensive camo pants!

This striped cardigan was calling my name because....well, it's a cardigan...and it has pockets...and it has stripes.  Pretty much perfect in my opinion.  It has a little slit on each side and buttons up the front.  I am wearing a small.  Lots of color options!

Leopard is back again this year, and I love this leopard print cardigan!  You could wear it open like this, or button it up for more of a sweater look.  I am wearing small, but I could have sized up to a medium.

I was so excited when I saw this chambray shirt dress because if you have been following me for a while, you know I LIVED in mine last year!  It's such great basic to have and is so versatile to wear now with sandals, and then also pair it with boots and leggings in the winter,  Layer it with a cardigan or sweater over the top and you can stretch the life of this beauty many, many months!  I am wearing a small.

And lastly, This ruffle t-shirt was just too cute!  I am wearing an XS, but I probably would have been fine in the small too.  I'd definitely say size down though because if I fit into an XS, then it runs big.  I love this tee with a vest, so the ruffle can poke out!  Just a fun twist on an otherwise basic t-shirt!  Plus sizes available.

And, that wraps up this try on session, my friends!  Thanks so much for following along!  I hope this was helpful in finding some cute staples for fall.

What I'm Ordering From Amazon This Month (June, July, & August)

Whoowee!  Did anyone else rack up some deals on Amazon Prime Day?  I didn't go super crazy, but we did snag a few things, some of which I will be saving for birthday and/or Christmas gifts!  Nothing like doing some extra early shopping!  Now I just have to remember where I hid them come December...

Since I didn't get the last Amazon post out until the end of May, I decided I'd just combine months again!  That and it's just easier for me to do it this way...considering the kids are home from school and I don't have a lot of free time these days!

For those of you who are not familiar with Subscribe and Save, I'll give you a run down below.  If you already know the ins and outs, please feel free to scroll on down!

Nordstrom Sale--Last Call

Are you sick of hearing about the Nordstrom Anniversary sale yet?  To be honest, I am ready for it to be over.  It's a little strange to be buying fall and winter items in July and August when it's 100° outside, but the prices are right, so just wipe that sweat off of your brow and get it while the gettin is good!

This is the last weekend of the sale, and then prices will increase on August 6.  If there is anything you have been debating about, I would suggest snagging it now.  Several things are out of stock, but I rounded up lots of my favorites that are still available!  Don't forget Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns, so you can always try it out, and send it back if you don't love it!

Growing Old is For the Birds

Thank you to Smile Brilliant for sponsoring this post!  All opinions are my own.

I can barely even admit this, but I will be 40 very, very soon.  FOURTY.  Y'all, that just doesn't even seem possible.  I remember going to a friend's 40th birthday party when I was in my 20's and I thought, man that dude is OLD.  And, here I am.  Apparently 40 is the new 30.  Or at least that's what everyone is telling me.  I think only people who are 40+ are staying it though!  hahahaha!  The lies we tell ourselves.

It's amazing how you can just wake up one day and your body just starts falling apart.  I have a bad hip, my knee hurts, I get shoulder pain...I sound like my grandmother!  All of the aches and pains are starting to set in, and it's not fun, let me tell you!  What is life going to be like in another 40 years? Along with that laundry list of ailments, I also have receding gums.  This is something I haven't given much thought to, but my dentist recently advised that I need to start paying attention to the way I brush my teeth to avoid further deterioration.
