Stocking Stuffers!

So...we only have 15 days left until Christmas morning!!!  Are you still making lists for everyone, trying to figure out what to buy, or are you one of those people who have all of your ducks in a row and can sit back and relax while everyone else is frantically shopping at the last minute?  I did the majority of my shopping online this year.  With all of the free shipping offers and online coupon codes, it was just too easy to stay in the comfort of my home and shop from my couch!  And, not having to drag a toddler around from store to store is a huge plus too.  Can I get 3 shouts for Amazon Prime!?!?!?  How did we ever live without it?  Sometimes I feel like my Amazon bill is a close 2nd to my mortgage payment.  Eeeeek.  Maybe they make it a little too easy if you know what I mean!

Although I like to fill my children's stockings with "stuff", I try to be conscious of what I am buying and I avoid buying a bunch of junk just to have a full stocking.  The last thing we need around here is more random clutter that doesn't get played with, so I've learned by mistake that just because you buy a bunch of cheap stuff doesn't necessarily mean you are saving money.

If you are still in the need of a few stocking stuffer ideas, or even just little gifts for friends and family, here is a compilation of some things I have either tried, or am currently intrigued by.  And, if you haven't already checked out my 2016 gift guides, you can view them here.

Wood building kits.  We had purchased a few of these building kits from Lowes and my son loves them.  Then, I happened to see some that were very similar at Dollar Tree for a fraction of the price!  They are still really great and will entertain your child while they are building as well as after it's built!

Indoor snowballs.  So much fun to have an indoor snowball fight!  My boys love being able to throw these around the house.  They like to build barricades and bombard guests coming through the door, so if you happen to stop by one day...WATCH OUT!

Bean Boozled.  This is the game I refuse to play.  I wait until all of the cousins are around before I get it out because I don't want to be talked into playing it with my son.  You never know if the jellybean you select will taste amazing or taste like puke...or skunk...or dirty socks.  How is this fun?  I don't know, but kids (and my 35 year old brother) love it.

Uno is another game that is fun for all ages.

And, if you have little hands, this playing card holder comes in very handy!

Electric toothbrushes.  The boys and I all love our electric toothbrushes.  I find it to be so much easier to clean their teeth with one, vs the standard brush.  Lazy?  Maybe, but really it just seems to do a much better job then my wrist action.

Orbeez are so fun!  If you haven't tried them, they are little beads that swell in water and feel slimy.  I wouldn't recommend for smaller children that still put things in their mouth, but for the bigger kids, they provide hours of sensory play!  Speaking of Orbeez, have you seen this video?

Hex Bugs are hilarious and slightly disturbing at the same time.  They move around so much like real bugs, it's crazy!

Glow in the dark stars are always fun.  My son loves his.

Spot It is a fun game for all ages too.  They have different difficulty levels so even the little kids can play.

Nerf Darts.  Because no one ever has enough.

Water Wows are perfect for taking in the car on long road trips.  The kids can "color" with a brush filled with water, so it keeps them busy without the fear of a giant art project appearing on the back of your seat.

Makeup Eraser.  The reviews on this makeup cleaning cloth are great!  For $12, I think it would be worth trying out.

Apparently beard balm is all the rage.  Thankfully, I can't speak from experience.

Nickel and Suede leather cuff.  If you have been reading this blog for a while, you already know I'm obsessed with their earrings, but I also think their cuffs and chokers are pretty darn cute too!

Boxers.  My hubs usually gets a few of these in his stocking.  Can't go wrong with all of the cute designs!

Most of you also know I'm obsessed with blanket scarves!  Super cozy and doubles as a shawl.

Magazine subscriptions are the gift that keeps on giving!

Big Sexy hair spray.  I have used this same hair spray for years.  YEARS!  I've even converted several family members to loving it as well.  These little bottles are perfect for trying it out so you don't feel like you have to commit to a large bottle. But, I'm pretty sure you will be running out to get the large bottle soon after you try it!

Nail polish.  'Nuf said.

These Yeti insulated koozies are a nice gift.  They come in all shapes and sizes and keep your drinks icy cold.

These fur ball beanie hats are super fun and come in several colors.

I posted a pic on Instagram of these Kinsley Armelle bracelets, and I just think they are so pretty!  They are very reasonable and would look great stacked together or standing alone.

If you are a Keurig fan, you should really check out these stainless steel coffee pods.  It's a safer alternative to the standard plastic pods, because who knows what that plastic is made of anyway.

I love Plant Therapy essential oils.  There are so many different oil brands out there, all claiming to be the best, or have the most purity.  I have always been happy with the quality of their oils, and their prices are hard to beat.

Sriracha To Go keychains are perfect for the lovers of spicy sauce!
